A healthy Ramadan: one poster, one story, one three-panel sequence

Three formats for one subject: keeping food and activity sensible through the fast, including for readers with acid reflux.

My roleVisual designer and layout. The substance follows the standing nutrition guidance and the guidance on reflux during fasting; I set the depth of detail for each format.

The situation

Every Ramadan the official channel gets the same questions: how to keep acid reflux from returning, and how to stay fit while fasting. The material on hand answered both on one dense poster of eight points, which is unreadable on a phone and too general for someone with reflux.

Who it was for

Two different readers. Someone with acid reflux looking for how to avoid a flare-up while fasting, and a general reader who only wants to know what eating and activity look like across the month.

Approach

I prepared three formats at different depths for one subject. A vertical story carries a light opening ask, an A4 poster carries eight habits specific to reflux, and a three-panel sequence breaks food and activity into three blocks that can be read one at a time.

Craft and compliance

9:16 for the story, A4 for print, and three 1:1 panels for the sequence. The poster uses a dark blue ground so its yellow text survives both printing and being photographed again, while the panel sequence uses a light ground with Ramadan ornament so it does not read like a hospital notice.

Outcome

Five pieces were published through the institution's official channel during Ramadan, across three formats: feed post, story and printed poster.

Evidence The only evidence is the published material and the channel's publication number. No attendance or reflux complaints were measured, so a clinical effect cannot be claimed.

Reflection

The reflux poster carries eight points on one sheet, and when tested on a phone screen points six to eight were effectively unreadable. For a subject this dense, the panel sequence was the right format from the start.
